Abstract: The article has as scope to look for the biblical text of Proverbs 29:15 and Law 13,010, of June 26, 2014, popularly known as Law of Slap. The objective of the study was to analyze whether there is a conflict between the Palmada Law and the text of Proverbs 29:15, in the sense that the Law of Slap disrespects the right of religious freedom. The research has an applied nature, through the exploratory method, through the bibliographic research procedure. In the first instance, an exegetical analysis of the text of Proverbs 29:15 will be made. In this analysis, it will be approached as it was the education of the Hebrew children and whether or not there were limits in the use of the stick. Afterwards, the right to religious freedom will be studied and then the study of the protection given to the child and adolescent by the Brazilian legal system, starting with the Federal Constitution (CF) and after, by Law 8.069 / 1990 Of the Child and Adolescent), as well as the changes made in this legal diploma, by the Law of Slap. Finally, the terms corporal punishment and cruel or degrading treatment brought by the Law of Slap, as well as the consequences, civil and criminal, in case of noncompliance with said law will be studied. It was concluded that there is no divergence between the biblical text of Proverbs 29:15 and the Law of Slaps and therefore, that law does not violate the right of religious freedom.
